They are used to separate small quantity of the metal from the plastics. When our copper wire granulators process thin wires, such as the Ethernet cables, the copper inside is very thin, generally diameter less than 0.2mm, it would cause a little tiny copper mixed with the plastics separated. The plastics would have a purity of about 96% to 98%. But the purity could be up to 99% at least if these plastics are processed by our electrostatic separator.
It has some requirements for the raw materials if you want to achieve an excellent performance: 1) the sizes of the metal are better between 0.05-0.3mm, the sizes of plastics are better under 5mm;
2) no rubber in plastics, otherwise it would lower down its separation rate;
3) the materials are better to be dry enough, the humidity is better under 1‰.
The advantages of our electrostatic separators:
1) the separation rate is very high, could reach up to 99%;
2) the machine works stably, doesn’t break easily.
